First published in Joshua Campbell's Collection of Newest and Best Reels (1778), it was later reprinted in The Gow Repository and in Lowe's A Collection of Reels & Strathspeys. Notation for the version played here by Hughie McPhee is in The Fiddle Music of Prince Edward Island
